My opinion to tickers is, it takes too long. I wouldn't wait till the ticker
finished ticking, just in order to read news that I can read faster,
somewhere else, on a static text.

Another disadvantage is that this ticker uses a lot of CPU time, which
causes the nav buttons, on the left side, to change flower that normal

But if you have to use it, I have an optical suggestion, put the blue
boarders at the top and bottom above the ticker, so that the text
appears under it when scrolling in and when scrolling out.
