FLASH: Flash4: Scrolling text

Thanks for all the help with the scrolling text. One more question;

hopefully!


I have four buttons that jump to four successive places on my main timeline.


I am using the variables: 


Set Variable:"Text1" = "my text message"

Set Variable:"ScrollText" = Text1


I use this at four places on the time line. "my text message" is different

at each place. 

Shouldn't the variable Text1 be resetting itself each time?
