Yeah...couple of things...

what's happening is that it's playing back the sound at the wrong khz, so
that it interpolates the samples to the setting it thinks it is...

like this: if I take a 44k sound file and play it back at 22khz, it's
playing at half speed so that it's twice as long, pitch shifted down an
octave...

I think Flash only exports sounds at 44k 22k 11k and 5k...so if she
perhaps brought in a sound at 8k and then sets the sound export as
(er...forgot the correct wording) ...as 'bypass settings' I think it
could get funky.
