Al,

The simple solution: This is not real 3-D, but looks better than a flat
image:

Take your square board, make it a group.
Select the arrow tool, select the "rotate" button.
Click on a corner of the board, rotate it a bit.
Click on a border of the board, skew it a bit.

That's the lo-tech way. Other more qualified people can tell you how to
trace and optimize 200 images, or export 3d models.
