Subject: FLASH: newbie questions, a couple

Hi Flash Folk:

I am experimenting w/ type, and it has led me to a couple of questions:

1. I have some large (48 pt)...I am converting each letter into a symbol
becauase I am going to try to put together a complex animation with the
letters. Some of the characters are duplicates of one another. So, I am
thinking that to reduce file size, I need not have multiples of the same
character...so I am trying to figure out how to find out how big a symbol
is. I was surprised that when clicking the blue I for info in my library,
I do not see size info. Where can I find it? Would letters be so small
with vectors, that it is negligible and I should not care about duplicating
characters?

2. when in a library, can you create symbols and have them automatically
reside in a certain folder within the library? or do you just have to drag
them around in the library into their folders? not a hardship; just seems
like you should be able to select a folder, create a symbol and have the
symbol go into that folder.

TIA.
-Jake
