Subject: FLASH: access to layers in the same URL?
From: Henrik Friberg

Hi fellow flashers!

I have made a .fla with one set of link buttons with goto actions to
other frames in the same movie, and one set of navigationbuttons that I
want to control a QuckTime movie. I have exported the .fla to an .swf. In
a new html-doc I have made 2 layers, the bottom layer contains the
flash-file, and the upper contains a QT4-movie. So far so good. What I
need to know is how to make the navigationbuttons (volume +/-, stopsound,
pause, play and stop) in the Flash-layer to control the QT in the upper
layer...
Also, is there a way to change just the upper layer instead of the whole
html-doc? My half-good solution is to have goto-actions on the
linkbuttons, but then I have to make a new html-doc with the same flash
movie but a new QTmovie. Is there a way to just close the upper layer
(the QT layer) and then open a new one in the same URL by the click of a
button? Does anybody know what I mean? Help is needed desperately!
