Subject: | FLASH: Shockwave-Plugin-Detection |

Hi,
ive got two hopefully simple questions:
-im looking for a possibility to check whether the user that enters our
site via IE
has got the shockwave-Plugin installed or not and what version number his
plugin has.
(the script should take him directly to the flash-animation if the the
plugin is detected,
otherwise he should be directed to a selection page where he can decide
wheter he want
to download the plugin or die without having seen my animation)
-the download should be possible from our own site to avoid having the user
connected to
Macromedia (is this possible?)
thanks in advance and keep one eye open for www.x-pulse.de where you can
find a small logo-animation
which is the result of my first experiences made in Flash (sound will be
added by the end of the year).
Please let me know what you think about it:
