I know this is all in good fun Al, but the fact still remains it's a dual
platform environment. The design community has supported the Mac for years and
there are a lot of die hard graphic designers that refuse to "join the dark
side." I myself would rather not have to deal with constantly having to cross
check compatibility with both browsers on both platforms. I think it's a real
pain, but, I would also like to mention that while negotiating project
contracts I don't forget to include the extra hrs necessary to produce the
cross platform product either. A lot of my peers design on Mac's and cross
check on PC's.
Bottom line. I don't believe in being a hardware bigot. Software bigot, you
bet. I think that software developers are partially responsible for the "us and
them" climate that exists by developing fantastic single platform apps. Most
likely driven by the bottom line sales. I myself think it's a healthy business
environment that supports both platforms. You know Al, "Chase the buck to keep
up with technology, so that the technology gained provides more opportunities
to chase the buck. You know, so you can chase the buck to keep up with the
technology so that....."
