Greetings!


try this on for size...make another "dummy" symbol with all of the elements of

your original button...once someone clicks on you button...have an action to go

to another "intermediate" scene in which that new dummy element does some sort

of animation and have a frame action at the end of that scene "go to" whatever

place in your move you want it to go...


this would only work if you do not have this button "flying all over" the

screen like you mentioned....if you are married to this idea....i am not quite

sure how you can solve it bec flash is not diector wherin you could "store" the

x and y coordinates and place your intermediate dummy button in that spot..


one suggestion is (and i have never done it myself so others may have

suggestions...) use director as the backbone to your flash...import your

buttons as little flash cast members perhaps and animate them via lingo or

director tweening (which in my opinion is quite lame) ..in any case good

luck...
