Daniel,
I think the advice you're getting from others is good. Myself, I never saw
the point in using scenes, so I never used them :)
Therefore, I'm not the best person to suggest a quick work-around, but I
wonder if you couldn't precede every instance of the sound starting with an
action to stop (under "sync") the specific sound, so it is cut off before
it starts again.
