i think you can only see it when you're working on the fla file and
it's not there in the movie itself (least it has seemed that way
to me thus far), but you can also make sure there aren't any more
frames on that layer (like if you're taking it as a fade down to
0 and then the layer ends there, but the movie goes on), or actually
just remove it on the next frame (that is, put in an extra keyframe
and delete it) if you still need the layer for something.
