Subject: FLASH: Lotus Notes/Domino support for Flash?

Hi,

Lotus Notes is BIG. There are 25 million licenses of Lotus Notes.
In the next few months the new release (called Release 5 or R5) will be
coming out, and it is VERY web-savvy. It is tightly integrated with all
standard web formats and protocols (i.e. HTTP, SMTP/POP, FTP, you name it)
and containing it's own INTERNAL and integrated browser. Domino is a fully
featured web server plus a whole lot of web-application tools/support,
which is smoothly integrated with Notes in R5.

Overall, this is a very large improvement over what exists for Notes users,
especially in the area of Web functions.

Many companies and therefore their users will start using the _internal_
browser rather than the external Explorer or Netscape. And their primary
server platform will be Domino rather than Apache, IIS.

My employers are currently 4.6.x Notes users (around 450 people in our
division), and our servers are Apache, Oracle, IIS. They ALL will be
replaced with Domino in the Spring.

Anything suggestions on what we can do to get Flash support for Lotus Notes
Release 5, one way or another? Or at least get the ball rolling with the
Lotus/Isis development group?

P.S. I've already sent a message to "wish-flashatmacromedia [dot] com", asking
about the same thing. Maybe some others could do the same, to help get it
on the "to-do list" at Macromedia.

P.P.S. Maybe it's already in the works, but if so, could somebody let us know?

Thanks,

Ken Higgins
