This rumour was started by Slashdot.org about a month ago, a statement that
they almost immediately retracted. Anyone who's interested, go to:

http://slashdot.org/articles/99/08/31/0143246.shtml

And let me just state that the notion that Unisys were going to try to sue
anyone who used a gif, was never the issue. It was just the typical quixotic
linux crusaders response to a fairly reasonable request by Unisys.
