Subject: | FLASH: Interesting tell target bug to watch out for... |

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share an interesting bug I've found with you..
well, I don't know if you'd call it a bug, but anyway:
When you're editing a movie inside another movie, and you apply a
tell target command to a frame or button, I've noticed that when you use the
window on the right to select the target, Flash 4 always puts a / at the
beginning, meaning to start looking for it at the root level. This obviously
won't work if you're already inside a nested MC... you'l get a target not
found error in the output window. To solve this problem, simply remove the
/, or rewrite the path from the root level, i.e. if you've got an MC call
"middle" inside another called "base", Flash 4 would assign the path
/middle/target,
whereas the correct path would be
/base/middle/target
or
middle/target
Anyway, something to look out for when you're debugging... Hope it helps
someone.
