to be honest with you, since i was liberated from school, i couldn't get a
job in multimedia (which was my major) but i have been consistently hired as
an animator from motion graphics & compositing in after effects to cell by
cell stuff in painter4. i started using flash for making animations that
could fit in a floppy. and mostly for internal presentations and such. (ie-
i had a company hired me to do animated invitations to their company/client
bash that was created in flash; also did some greeting cards...). the first
flash thing i did for the web was a little virtual jukebox for my friends at
panamsymphony.com so you could preview some music from the newly released
cd. (which was an object lesson in tell targets...LOL..but the graphics were
definitely lacking). what little info i've gotten for this banner ad stuff
i've gleaned from turboads.com and its a whole new animal to me...

if i get anymore info, i'll be glad to pass it along...
