FLASH: Scrolling text

Hi,

I would like to make a scrolling text box (not using a movie object text but using a *.txt file) and scrolling the text in it by clicking a button. I noticed a scroll function min&max def in the help but cannot understand how to use it, can someone give me an example or point me to one?
