As far as I can tell - it's because as far as the browser is concerned you
are still on your first page (with the frames in) and are just changing the
content in your work frame. So pressing the back button will of course,
take you to whatever you were looking at before your home site.
Put a "home" button on your pages (or preferably, on your frame with your
logo) so that the user doesn't have to click the back button.
