Hi Mike,
It's not clear to me if the main interface movie is always present. If it
is, just don't return to the frame where the sound movie clip first
appears; return to a later frame and the sound clip will not be reset.
Another option is to have the sound clip begin with the sound "off" rather
than "on." This way at least users won't have unwanted sound. But those who
want it on will have the reverse problem of it being reset to "off."
Final option, and one you will benefit from being familiar with, is to load
the sound toggle scheme into a separate movie and load that movie on a
higher level that is not unloaded. (Note: it WILL be unloaded if the level0
movie is unloaded). This will make it immune to playback movement
(including sceen changes) in the level0 movie.
