FLASH: Preload MC or regular preloader ?

Hello all,


I am having a really tough time with a flash preloader on

sites. I am not the Flash person, however, am standing in

for him. Thus, I am lost completely. I have gone through the

two tutorials offered at extremeflash, I can get a preloader

to work, the problem I have is getting a MC to work as the

preloader plays. When using the MC preloader tutorial

instructions, it will go to the next frame then stop, if I

click with the mouse to play, then it will play the main

movie. I have followed step by step and just can't get it

working. I am sure it is something obvious. So, right now, I

have had to resort to just a one word regular preloader with

no MC, which could lead some that have to wait to think they

are stuck...


I would like to have something like most everyone else has-

a little animated thing going while the main movie loads.

The main movie has about 500 frames and is about 154K.(64K

before the sound which is getting replaced) I would really

appreciate some help and better step by steps on the preload

issues.
