Zoom in Brian and drop the color using the bucket tool right in the center where you want the gradient to be. Also make sure that both the locks are unlocked so you're starting with a fresh new unconstrained gradient.

I have been having some difficulty with using gradients... I'll set up the two colors I want to go between, yet when I use it on the an area, I only get one of the colors, or at the most what appears to be a mid-range color. Some one told me that it has to do with Flash not doing gradients very well on small areas... is this true? And if so, what is my recourse?
