This may or may not work, but if you have Norton FastFind (or some other app
that does the same trick) you can view and edit the owner application that
it looks for.

It's under the file details in fast find, you can look at a .fla that is
working and copy out the owner application and paste it into the same space
on the damaged one. sorry I can't be more specific, i got out of macs a
while back and it's all fading away.

Subject: [Flashcoders] Unexpected file format

Help! This has probably been asked before, but I need a (gasp) quick fix
hopefully. I am working on Mac with Flash 5 and after a crash, I get an
unexpected file format alert when I try to open my file. Has anyone seen
this and is there a fix for it. Help please!
