FLASH: Turning OFF a button??

Does anyone know how I can turn OFF a series of buttons??


I have 5 buttons contained within a MC, and when the buttons are not

supposed to be "active", I have the MC set at 50% alpha, so the buttons

appear to be dimmed.... but unfortunately, you can still actually PRESS the

buttons, and I don't want them to be active at all.


Suggestions?
