I assume you're talking being a freelancer, right Steve?
I'm facing/faced this same problem... I have created a website in Flash for
a client who mentioned halfway through the project that he wanted the source
.FLA (after telling me bought Flash for his college-age kids, ho-ho-ho), and
I respectfully told him "No." He still wants it, and wants me to deal him a
price that is "reasonable", and I can't for the life of me decide what
figure to stand my ground on should it come to that.
Tell the client that the Flash file is extra $$$. I think someone here said
2.5 - 3x the cost of the job of creating the site.
