Thanks to Paul, Wayne & Flash for responding to my plea.

I did get another window to open in JavaScript - solution for my 2nd

problem.


I still need help with the first one - displaying random text to be read

from a text file - I need to do this using JavaScript. My website has an

intro flash movie but the rest of the site is in HTML & as such I can't do

this using flash.

I am running out of time for site to be launched - as such I would truly

appreciate if someone has a ready script for this & can share it with me.

I have an OT question, and hope that someone could help me with this.


I am designing a website where I need to randomly display some text.

I guess this could be done using JavaScript - but I do not write/know

JavaScript.

Can anyone point me to a ready script or a step by step instruction on how

to do this.

Where does one keep the text - in a text file or in a database?

I have no idea how to do this & do hope that I would get help from this list

as I have always found help here.


I have another request today.

When a user types in the URL, I want the homepage to be launched in that

browser window & Flash intro to pop up in another window with no menus and

flash animation to fill window.
