FLASH: Tyro Question: Lock

I am brand new to Flash [4 Mac]


As my 1st project I am trying to make a combination lock for an RPG. 

It is a circle with 8 segments, each with a symbol which takes some 

research to determine its meaning. The correct segments have to be 

pressed in the correct order in order to go on to the next URL.


I have all the symbols made and am now trying to make them interactive.

The orange segment is a button. Pressing on it changes it to red, a 

graphic symbol.


My 1st question (among many I suspect) is how do I make it stay red 

when the mouse button is released so that the user will know it has 

been pressed?
