in the interim, I tried _root.movie1.movie2.variable   and it worked!?!?!?!


Was it supposed to? In most areas in life I say ''if its not broken..." but

in scripting land that usually adds up to many headaches later on.

should the variable be seperated from the path useing something else? ie []
