FLASH: Movie Clip Mask

I have a movie clip symbol in a mask layer that I can target with tell

target, but it will not play.


the tell target box "sees" it as a named instance, but it refuses to play

when I tell it too.  Is this becuase it is one a mask layer?  I don't get

it.
