FLASH: f5 player bug or what is going on ?

Hi,


sorry for crossposting on flashcoders and chinwag but i'd really need to 

know how to solve this problem.

ok the basic task was to achieve a text effect that looks like the displays 

at airports / trainstations.

i thought this was something easy to start with flash 5 actionscript but it 

turned out to be not that easy.

Somehow the flash 5 version i made consumes 100% CPU time therefore is 

running superslow on my P2-400.

Could someone (please) point me out to a (Flash 5) solution for this ? Or 

is this some kind of bug in the Flash 5 player?

Both versions run at 20fps, both texts are displayed in "_sans" font...
