If you've got the bottom scroller working, you're already familiar with how
to
dynamically set the X position of the content. The top buttons invoke a
classic
example of Josh's "half-the-distance" method of a moving object easing to a
stop.

On button release you get the current X position of the content, and set
your
destination. Use a loop to continue moving the content half the distance
from
the current position to the destination until you're there, updating the
current
position each time through the loop.
