Subject: FLASH: Virtual Memory Prob. with .exe
From: Henry K

I'm currently developing a Windows CD for a client using Flash to make an
.exe.

The file is 2.3mb and contains at least 40, approx. 800*600 screen shots of
their new on-line product. They are set to be compressed using the gif/png
setting. The screenshots are mostly .png's at 32 bits per pixel (typically
50-70kb per shot compressed in Flash). Other screen shots are .gif's
incorporating transparency (much smaller, no more than 15kb).

Also, there is a stack of text. Approx. 60 pages if you can call them that.
They're set at Fast and are all one font.

The client says that receive a Virtual Memory warning when running the file.
Some of the shots turn a strange red hue. Nice colour - but not exactly what
we want.

The users don't have access to adjust system properties because of security
so it's definitely a problem.

Has anybody else come across this problem? Is it to do with the large amount
of .png's in the exe's and their size?

Any help would be much appreciated.
