Stephan,

You've had suggestions about using the Over state in a button to create
rollovers in other parts of the stage. This is a pretty good way to do it, but
your original idea of using a separate MC and targeting labels on Rollover is
actually a more flexible way to handle it. That way you could have several
rollover states for several buttons all organized in one MC (alignment would
be much easier this way too), and they could be animated with smooth
transitions (using AS) without the abrupt On/Off effect of a simple button. If
you need more flexibility go with your original idea -- then you'll only need
a single invisible button object in your library.
