To tell you the truth, I use 'show all' and throw a mask
over the whole thing. That will keep out the stuff that
you don't need.
The default stage size is fine, I find. It's not really about
'size'...it's more about the shape...it should be a rectangle
that's slightly wider than tall, to fit the default browser
dimensions when scaled up.
If you've seen a site that you think has settings that you
can't seem to achieve, then check the HTML. The publish
settings are independent of the SWF are right there in the
HTML.
