Erin

a few goog things to do to optimize bitmaps:

--in photoshop, reduce the number of colors (desaturate and tint),
and blur any hard edges.

--Save as a png when you bring it in instead of a pict

--Save the bitmap at twothirds the size you need it and resize it in
flash (not the best quality but really saves some room...)

--Deal with compression settings on publish, usually between 50 and 80 percent.

Hope this helps you some.
