Don't put the movie clip in the button is the straightforward answer. Put it
separately in your movie in the relevant place in the movie and add code to
the button that tells the movie clip to play onMouseOver.

Hey again guys. I'm trying to emulate ripelling water on an animation. I
want it to go when the mouse goes over it, so I made a movie clip, which
looks okay, and put it as an over state in a button. I figured that when
the mouse goes over the button, it'll initiate the movie clip, which will
play in it's entirety. Of course, no, it doens't seem to work that way. The
movie stops as soon as the mouse gets moved off of the button. Ideas?
