Hey, I didn't mention toggleHighQuality, did I? No offence (much kudos to
all Braincraft crew), I just wanted to confirm what I was saying for Ying's
benefit.
If you put text in a text field it looks like it isn't anti-aliased, like it
would look in a plain ol' html document. They could of just used text fields
on soulbath.com, or they might have used the auto quality feature...it's a
bit difficult to tell without seeing their .fla.
I did do a little test with a text field vs regular text box in a movie. If
you zoom in (from the context menu), the text in the text field looks pretty
similar to what it looks like on soulbath, whereas a text box is always
anti-aliased. I use text fields a lot for small text. You don't neccesarily
have to load the text from a variable and you can disable editing and
selection so it can be used like a regular text box.

Ying,

Paul's right, there's no way other than using toggleHighQuality, but that
will
affect anti-aliasing in everything, not just text. I think what you were
seeing
with SoulBath was the movie auto-toggling the quality. When you enlarge the
movie, the processor/video card have to work harder and if Quality is set to
Auto it will automatically switch to low quality (aliased) to compensate.

HTH,
Randy
