Hi SImon

He's the latter, signed up but didnt add his DOB, Ive heard this is quite common, I wasnt aware it was compulsory but then its a long time since I signed up. 

He was planning to create a new address but clearly this loks like a job for Google themselves to step in and allow users to edit it (why wouldn't they?After all this could happen) or to bite the bullet.

to help him :-)

In the latter case, if Google won't let him change it then a new account 
is probably the only way to go.

I can see why they would make it immutable, after all your date of birth 
is one of the few things you can't change about your identify.
