uk-netmarketing Archive (2011-2015)

For me, Google+ is a much more effective communications tool - from the hangouts, to the chat, to the way in which the social interacts. Of course FB trumps it in busy-ness, user-numbers, variety and history... but what I think Google have done cleverly, is tried to do a 'Blackberry Messenger'... i.e. have the best communications tool out there and let the users choose it.

After all, that's why the profile of BB users is so skewed - business users who don't yet realise that iOS and Android are now as good as BB (and cheaper) for email, and teens and early twenties who have virtually ditched email altogether.

I also find it amusing that FB and Twitter have produced this 'Don't Be Evil' app / product to give the impression that Google are the 'evil' ones yet they are the ones (particularly FB) working as hard as possible to ringfence their data from Google... 2012 is going to be interesting, that's for sure!!
