Hiya John,

Makes sense. I'm slowly getting sucked into Google+. If you're a Gmail user the integration makes it a bit more seamless than Twitter/FB/Linkedin. I heard that the APIs are on the way as well as a bunch of new features.

Google will be running a session during Social Media Week (13-17 Feb) on Google+ with a couple of case studies if anyone's interested in popping along. Confirming the timings at the moment, but it's likely to be Mon 13th early pm. Keep an eye on the SMW schedule for info: http://socialmediaweek.org/schedule/?locale_id=23

Hootsuite is rolling it out - only currently for their most expensive packages (surprise, surprise) so far. However they plan (based on a tweet to me late last year) to roll it out to other packages.

It's mainly down to Google giving (or not giving) access to their API - not to the different softwares. Google are in 'testing' mode as well.

As for Google+ I think it's going to do OK... but not be a Facebook killer (but not sure that was the full intention anyway).
