As an internet user and consumer, I really don't care for tracking cookies. I would be very happy for a browser to prevent cookies tracking me from site to site. I'm very happy with a site setting cookies for when I return, but what benefit have I ever received through being tracked, other than to be shown an ad for a website I visited yesterday? If the advertising industry lives or dies by its ability to use tracker cookies, then it deserves to fall over. There are many ways to reach consumers without having to track their movements. As for profiling, that's a waste of time too. What I might say I like on a survey today will change in six months, so data goes out of date. The websites I visit do not correlate with what products I want to buy or hear about. Steve Masters -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
