Sam - you mean PPC ... SEO I can also waffle on about. Let me tell you this (from my perspective): - With all the hype on Apps and Social you'd have the impression of 'that's where it's at' but there is NO CHANNEL online which can be as lucrative as search, and of the two options (SEO and PPC), PPC is the easiest mean to scale a healthy business model - Apps are a huge ocean of failure with a thin film of success floating at the top - SEO is for a bit of a rude awakening for those who have tried everything BUT actually generate strong content and a good brand As for email is going to start struggling as filters get better (or worse, depending on how you look at it) at weeding out the chaff, and increasingly people turn to social and closed / private / one to one/few communications methods. Of course, all of this is merely IMHO.
