Keyword Spy can be useful but the last time we tried it the data was better
for the US rather than the UK - may have improved since then and can be
bought on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Any other competitive tools (a la Alexa, Hitwise, Compete etc.) that provide
data on one website vs. competitor sites?

 

I'm just keen to leverage any free/cheap/good tools as part of a
multi-pronged strategy.
