OK, here goes...

I hereby predict that at least some of these will become true, more or less, probably:


HTML5 / responsive Banners finally replace Flash banners
because mobiles don't do Flash and animated gifs are a bit pants. CTR increases but several thousand "Banner Designers" are made redundant and besiege Adobe. 


Mobile specific emails,
which take advantage of the mobile "as standard" support for richer media in emails. We start to see HTML5 video followed by people complaining that it's caning their data plan.


Content Marketing is the new social media
Every client will be sold content-marketing in a "would you like fries with that" kind of way, even if the agency doesn't know what it is. By late July, a content-marketing campaign for a dishwasher tablet goes wrong and blocks a pipe, causing a dirge of branded, fetid slurry to overflow into a billion Facebook feeds. Zuckerberg buys Dyno-Rod for three billion dollars but it's too late, in the ensuing panic, Twitter get's jammed & Vine is forced to ration users to only 3 seconds. The entire "earned-audience" packs-up and buys a book instead. Amazon, however, makes a killing.


Google changes it's algorithm again. This time it's called Albatross.
and people who type URLs into the search box suddenly find they can't use the web anymore.


Someone actually makes an online purchase using an Android phone.
A spokesman says "With 80% of the smartphone market but a minuscule amount of web-traffic, you have to wonder what Android users are doing with their phones."


Apple release the iPhone mini
... A smaller, flip-open iPhone that looks remarkably like the original Motorola Razr. Apple sues Motorola over a retrospective breach of copyright.


The meme of the year will involve carrots & the colour beige
