[uk-netmarketing] VWO vs Optimisely vs Google Experiments

Hi,

Optimizely is being used by almost all the ‘good’ conversion optimisers and split testers out there.

VWO was very popular but isn’t so much – Optimizely is a very good product although both have their benefits.

GCE (Google Content Experiments) – is a very clever A/B testing solution – as it can use the ‘multi-armed bandid’ algorithm:

Basically – it tunes the split testing to favour trends in response to your marketing message.

My advice – Optimizely, simply because I know so many hands on practitioners raving about how good the product and support are.

Regards,

Craig.

Hi Alison

Google Experiments is absolutely fine for A/B Tests. Google removed multivariate testing from Website Optimizer last year and not clear if it is coming back in (have heard different stories). The other issue with Google products is no support - have been having a lot of issues with double firing of tags giving crazy numbers in some tests - although our agency did get some help from Google.

Heard some good things about Optimizely but not used it. Google has an investment in the company but its not (yet) a Google product.

Regards

Hola team netmarketing

We’re currently using VWO which is good for what we pay but has its limitations, we’re considering moving to optimisely but we simply can’t ignore the option of Google Experiments…

What are its limitations compared to a paid for tool?

Kind regards,

Alison Wade
