Hi Andy, My sincerest apologies for such a short and terse initial reply, but I was perplexed by the strangeness of the request to consider a new domain in replace of the old one when the old one was doing pretty well, thank you very much! The most important audience in the scenario are the people that eat at the restaurant .the clientele and the potential clientele. Yes you have already said that they refer to it by word of mouth as The Eatery London but surely that¹s because they are in London. Its not The Eatery Llandudno for example. So when they search for it on Google, I suspect they will find what they are looking for. Unless I am missing something here and this is a hot and sought after restaurant name that everyone wants in London. I think that at the end of the day, the patrons who go to the restaurant don't give a monkeys fig as to what the URL is because its only marketing geeks like us that care. What's important to them is that they just need to be able to cut to the chase - find the restaurant fast to be able to review it, book a table for dinner at it, find out what everyone else in London thinks about it, see what the best recommended dishes are and so on and so forth. The easiest thing to do is to buy the domain www.theeaterylondon.co.uk and put a 301 permanent redirect to www.theeatery.co.uk where you have all the cudos, recognition and estrellas de oro. That way, nobody and nothing is compromised and you don't have to do any more work or waste time or money. Hope you solve it Andy. Hi Suzy Thank you for your reply. People refer to it as theeaterylondon by word of mouth rather than the shortened version.
