The next meeting of NoW will be on 12th April at 7.30pm at the Plough &

Harrow, Hagley Road, Birmingham as usual, and as usual it will be free.


Guest Speaker(s)  Brian Johnson of the Johnson Agency, a top marketing

consultant involved in many Internet start-ups including the launch of

ORACLE'S 2becom.com Internet incubator.  Brian has promised to bring some of

his colleagues with him.

Brian always gives a lively, amusing ang informative presentation with no

hard sell of his services, just advice gleaned from his experience. His

experience goes beyond marketing into fund raising and other interesting

areas ......


Also, I hope to share our own experiences of discussing our prposal with 3i

and other investors and 'so called investors', those Wlater Mitty characters

that claim to be investors but never call back, names and details will be

revealed !

Among the many postings on NoW weblinks I came across netventureworld.co.uk

and as I always do, I went and checked out the site.  This has to be the

most

practical and best laid out source of advice I have yet to see on the net.

Not sure about the discussion list idea, there seem to be a lot of these

around at present.  The observant among you will have noticed that I have

removed the message board from the site as it seemed to get little

attention.

 I can recommend the UKNetMarketing list on chinwag.com as a good

alternative

and for locals the WMDigital list.


Other Changes on the Site:

I've been a bit disappointed with some of the services listed on the

weblinks

page, lots of promises but no delivery,  I was particularly disappointed

with

the service offered by one company that promised to reply to me details by

return and a week later still has not been in touch. To ensure a bit of

quality control and return benefit, from now on anyone placing a link on the

site will be required to place a return link or offer some other service in

return.
