Here's a thought.


What if the whole practice of VCs making money off the ideas and enthusiasm

of

dotcomrades was just the last dying gasp of the old economy?


It's slipping away from them - they control it and wring it dry while they

still

can.


What if a realistic readjustment in valuations was followed by the awful

realisation that dotcoms aren't actually worth much....


Followed by the awful realisation that old economy companies are worth even

less....


And the winners are the newly empowered consumers and the small businesses

which

serve them well?


Just a thought



But it gives me a little socialist stiffie
