UKNM: Internet and Telecommunication advances effects on environment

This is a request from a friend of mine who is looking to do an MA...


Does anyone know of a journal or good online source of articles about how

advances in Internet and Telecommunication technologies can have an effect

on environmental issues 

examples

- increasing use of satellites means less need to dig up and lay cables

around the place

- use of electronic media reducing requirements for paper

- possibly even supply chain efficiencies reducing environmental damage

etc...


You can reply off-list as I'm not sure this is quite on subject.
