How comfortable are you with the idea that you don't have to authorise
transactions? That your phone can spend your money without your having to
authorise it?

Interactive TV services have been trialled for decades, they're still not
in every home ;)

I think that's a bit of a leap of reasoning. You'll need (a) appreciable
number of phones out there to drive (b) appreciable numbers of merchants
who can accept payment this way. That's more than 12 months off - WAP
phones have been out for 9 months now, there's still few of them about.
