Ubiquity is another important thing. As a part-time computer games journo
I weep at the way that Japan has taken computer gaming culture to
heart. They take it seriously over there, whereas in Britain and America
computer games are still treated as a minority interest.
If you pop into the Japan Centre outside Tower Records in London you can
buy some of the niche products, although I haven't seen anywhere that
stocks the Game Boy sonar (true -

)

And they have coffee vending machines. And the Nissan Figaro.
