Note both Altavista and Deja.com, two search engines which decided to
become multi-internet mega-entertainment portals, found out that nobody
cared, and have now reverted to being search engines.

Particularly galling in the case of Deja.com, as its only useful feature
was the ability to search old Usenet postings, something they curtailed in
order to become a kind of mutant MSN.

My guess is that Netscape.com will eventually realise that people go there
to download Netscape, not to find out about the news.
